By Going To Boot Camp
How to run fitness boot camps
The words "Boot Camp" often bring up a wide array of images. From soldiers running along shouting in time or marching in perfect formation, to rope climbing and battling an obstacle course with instructors screaming at the top of their lungs.
While still used by the military where the term originated these visuals and this view of boot camp is in the past.
Present day could see a new array of images from youth in backpacks to adults on the beach in their sweats, boot camps have become much more general. The same military ideas apply.
Boot camps are areas of extreme discipline and training. Where the expectation is of an extreme amount of training where a professional will push all individuals going through to receive their maximum potential.
Where you are expected to never give up and to be pushed to your limit and beyond.
Now this sounds all extremely physical and you probably have images of bulging sore muscles and pouring sweat. What many people do not realize, however, is that most of the training is not physical, but mental.

Have a breakthrough…
The key to most things in life is overcoming our preconceptions, mental blocks and obstacles. This is the most important part of any boot camp training. Boot camps are almost always run by one professional whose job it is to push and motivate people into breaking their own mental barriers and achieving more.
This is not done in a kind, counselling manner but just like in the military performed in a "drill sergeant" method. Why would you use such an adamant, often abrasive, personality?
Because it is often too easy for an individual to be content with only little or moderate improvement, where as the point of the boot camp is not only a large improvement, but also strengthening and moulding an individual to be capable of overcoming their own obstacles and superseding every goal they have made for themselves.
The results you are looking for from any boot camp is something spectacular, something where there won't only be the benefits gained from attending that boot camp alone, but also that you leave and continue to benefit from becoming a stronger, more capable, individual.
This is the original philosophy used by the military when creating boot camps to turn young boys and girls into strong men and women, capable of fighting, thinking, and excelling. Fitness boot camps turn the same sort of results, and boot camps are also used to try and mould juvenile delinquents into well behaved productive members of society.
The key to the success of a boot camp is the "break down" that occurs this gets the mental obstacles out of the way creating a clean slate for everyone involved to be built back up from into the strong, determined and more capable individuals who now know they are capable of more.
There are "corporate", “fitness”, "bridal" boot camps, and so many others. These are more of a crash course type of workshop to prepare everyone for what they are getting into, or in the case of a corporate boot camp, often an attempt to build unity and teamwork, hoping that will translate into loyalty to the company and better production.
While boot camps can be thoroughly physical, it is the mental that builds a foundation for people to grow from and ultimately improve, and that is the exercise that is most valuable.
