Is This The Best Way To Learn And
Create Success In Any Field…
You have probably heard the term boot camp, but where does this term come from and what does it mean? Boot camps are basically specialized intense training camps.
Originally boot camps were all military boot camps with a drill sergeant barking orders and a bunch of would be officers pushing them selves to the extreme in a series of physical and mental exercises.
Though the term has expanded to mean several different camps or training sessions. The term 'boot camp' originated in the military and is derived from the terrible footwear that is provided to boot camp trainees in the armed forces.
The common boot camp duration is anywhere from a couple of weeks to six months and are specifically designed to train the attendees in a specific skill or purpose.
The success of our military is due to the fact all branches of the armed forces continue to use these intense and ball breaking boot camps to train new recruits. These camps are incredibly successful and are used to train new recruits in everything they need for their time in the force.
Having lessons in physical strength, weapon use, technical and theoretical knowledge, comradeship, mental toughness, leadership, strategy and discipline.
Mind over matter…
Although boot camps are seen as physical the actual effect of boot camps is more mental than physical. Trainees are deprived of sleep, food, and communication and made to live in extremely unfavourable conditions to test how far they can push themselves.
By breaking down the attendees to a point of no return they push themselves further and harder as they feel that now they can do anything. This conditioning is necessary for their continued success in the armed forces.
When something is good, copy it!
While the military may continue to use boot camps for their training purposes, the model has been adapted for use in many areas of society. For example boot camps are also increasingly designed for juvenile offenders.
These troubled teens live and serve their time in boot camps, while they are given training on how to live better in society. They are also taught professional and vocational skills to help with employment on their return to society.
Parents with problem children can be often seen sending them to juvenile boot camps in the hope that discipline, and teaching on honour, respect, and self-esteem will help to turn around a hard situation.
Today boot camps may have similar aspects of the military but they have gone away from their original strict military intent and have become more of a fad. There are boot camps for almost every aspect of social life.
Boot camps even exist for brides and would-be parents. In these cases the emphasis is on how to improve the attendees situation for incoming responsibilities and to get all the knowledge needed quickly regarding whatever the boot camp is focused on.
The key thing that remains is that the boot camp instructors are harsh-spoken, work-extracting, extremely motivating people. They are experts in their own fields and are conditioned to be able to use psychological force to exert their trainees to the maximum.
Bringing out the best in all attendees and showing them that they can do anything they put their mind to. Boot camps usually end with elaborate ceremonies, where degrees or awards are given to the passing candidates.
The hope for the passing candidates is that after one of these boot camps the participants are more confident and more capable than they were going in. That the results attained from attendance will be continued benefits to all involved from there on out.
